A Group Hug to Brighten Your Day

Friday’s Blessings

This week has been pretty rough on me so it’s been pretty hard to find the “silver lining” in pretty much anything that has gone on since last Friday but I’m going to try. On the work front, our new boss, Todd, seems to be doing really well. This is his first week all by himself and he’s been pretty good at keeping everybody busy once we get the floor done….Which is always a plus when you have 45 minutes+ left of your shift. Our other boss still has her moments where you just want to sit her down and tell her to get her head out of her butt, but when I talked to her about the situation I’m having she seemed geniunely concerned and even offered some great advice as well.

My now ex-friend has at least been trying to act civil around me (which is a tiny upside) but there is a downside too, I found out last Sunday that her and her sister shared the situation with our entire team and were sharing lies about me as well. The upside to that is I grew a backbone and went and ratted their butts out to our HR person and now the situation is being dealt with from that end too.

Now we’re back to my bloggy friends…..Y’all are just awesome as always! It’s a great feeling knowing I have a support system out there during all my times of trouble like right now. Thanks for all the words of encouragement and advice also….This isn’t over by a longshot but I’ve finally found out who my friends are! 🙂

Yesterday I created my own cooking blog, which I managed to screw up the photos on the first post, but hey I’m still learning right? We’re always trying new recipes here at our house and I’m super excited to share them with everybody over there at The BITRCountryGirl Cooks.

Have a great Halloween and a great weekend everybody!

The first one’s up!

My first recipe post is up on my cooking blog.  I managed to completely screw up my pictures in the original post so I also added the word for word directions also so there wasn’t any confusion.

Did you know that I cook too….

I’ve been busy this morning….I’ve created a new cooking blog The BITRCountryGirl Cooks because I’ve always wanted to share my cooking “knowledge” but I just hadn’t done it up until now.  That and I’m TOTALLY jealous of Ree over at The Pioneer Woman, cause I know I’m not near as good as she is but I’m still going to do it anyway.  I don’t really have anything up there yet…..I’m working on my first post complete with photos and everything.   I’ve also added my photography blog too….I guess if it’s out there for everyone to look at I’ve got to keep it realatively up to date right?

What The Fuck!

Ok, so I very rarely use bad language on my blog but I’m being a rebel here peeps.  That and it is my blog right?  Sorry if the title of this post upsets/offends anyone.

Moving on…..

Have you ever just known it wasn’t going to be a good night at work when you start your truck unload at 9 pm and by the time 10 pm rolls around the softlines department is 4 pallets in the hole?  Well that is how my Monday night at work started ….I was one of the chosen 5 to work in our softlines department….. when I walked over after completing my pulls for the night I was SHOCKED by what I saw.  Apparently, from the truck unload itself there were a total of 8 pallets of just clothes that needed to be unpacked and hung on z-bars (the racks that we put the product on so we can wheel it easily to the department it belongs in), but not all of the boxes that the clothes come in a boxes of things that need to be hung up…some of the boxes are full of folded shirts, jeans, belts, etc.

Soooo back to what I saw…..I saw 4 z-bars FULL of women’s bath robes……I know it’s getting cold out but seriously 4 z-bars of pretty much the SAME product is more than a little bit excessive.  Not only were they pretty much the same product, the prints that they are available in aren’t very cute either. Apparently, there are A LOT of women in the greater Madison area that need a big fuzzy bathrobe because they’re still cold in their flannel pajama’s.  Not only did we get a crap ton of bath robes, we also got a crap ton of even uglier flannel pajama’s too.  I’m sorry but turquoise pj’s with BRIGHT pink elephants on them are just flat out nauseating to me.  The problem with getting all this product in all at once is that our sleep wear department is jammed full to begin with and our job is to find a place to put all these new less than beautiful pieces of clothing…..it was a complete pain in my backside!

Let’s move on now to what I unpacked from the boxes of folded product…..2 heaping carts of men’s basics (socks, under ware, etc.) and 1 HEAPING cart of men’s jeans……Apparently on Monday there were A LOT of men running around the greater Madison area in their tightie whities/boxers/boxer briefs/etc.  And here I thought you got tickets for indecent exposure but apparently not…..or maybe that was the reason that we got sooooo many pairs of jeans in that night, who knows.

But really it ended up being a great night over in softlines with the 5 of us over there.  We got all of the work done a little after 5 am and all was well in the Target galaxy…..For now anyway.

There are theives on the loose!

Someone out there in the town that I live in stole our Obama ’08 yard sign. Yes, we’re a democrate household for the most part. What kind of “extra special” person goes and STEALS a political yard sign anyway? So if your political yard sign has gone missing recently….it’s probably in some “extra special” person’s with our political yard sign.

P.S. If the person who stole our sign is reading this….NOT cool at all!

I’m sorry :(

For some reason I am not able to comment on Blogger blogs right now….I’m not real sure what’s up with that but I hope it works itself out cause I’ve got comments to leave! 🙂
